This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and used in connection with private online English tutoring services provided by an independent English tutor (liz@talkumo)
Information We Collect
We collect limited information depending on the student’s age.
For adult students (18 years old and above), we may collect the student’s name, contact details (email), and learning goals.
For young learners (below 18 years old), we do not collect the student’s personal name or identifying details. We only collect the parent or legal guardian’s name and contact information.
We may also collect preferred schedule, general learning goals or English level information, and communication details such as messaging apps.
How We Use Information
Information is used only to arrange and conduct tutoring sessions, communicate with students or guardians, personalize lesson content, and provide general progress feedback.
Payments
For security and privacy purposes, payment details (only my payment information ) may be provided at the end of the trial lesson for students who decide on the spot or at a later time to proceed with the course.
During this session, only my payment information (such as PayPal or other accepted methods you prefer) will be shared securely.
Clients only need to send payment through my provided account. Their account details are not shared with me and are not required at any point.
We do not request, collect, or have access to any client financial account or sensitive information.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. Information is only disclosed if required by law.
Data Protection
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. However, no online communication method is fully secure.
Data Retention
Information is kept only as long as necessary for tutoring purposes unless deletion is requested.
